- ACLU v. Reno (Supreme Court 1997)
- The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and several other parties sued Janet Reno as Attorney General, arguing that the Communications Decency Act (CDA) is an unconstitutional burden on free speech over the Internet. The Supreme Court held the statute to be unconstitutional.
